Can you see this? Your friends are getting married. They are so happy and so much in love, that the lack of funds for a beautiful wedding dress, a wedding photographer and a great wedding venue is only of secondary value. Yet, isn’t it their day to shine as two become one? That day should be engraved in the memory of the family, the friends and even in the future memory of their kids if they have a nice set of wedding photos. So what are there friends for?

Now you will have an opportunity of your life to help them organize the wedding. First surprising the new couple with nicely designed invitation, then coming up with a few wedding venues for them to chose from. For the wedding invitations all you need to ask them is to provide you with the addresses of the wedding quests. When the wedding location has been picked don’t scare them with the cost but only ask what kind of budget can they effort. Estimating the budget and coming up with the remainder will become your responsibility as you may seek the sponsor, or get a collection from among the friends and the more distant relatives of the bride or/and bridegroom.

The wedding photographers charge a lot thus you may find a talented photographer for the wedding from among the friends and the family. Why not utilize your own resources. There are all kind of activities at hand before the wedding. Relieving the young couple of a bulk of them will be a real blessing for them Once the venue is chosen there are a lot of decorating activities to be done. You can easily do it with some organizational skills. Assign somebody with the responsibility of table and chairs decorations like covers and sashes, flower arrangements and the center pieces for the table, the room lightening and perhaps the balloon backdrops.

For food, it is the best to find a reasonable catering service. We suggest that some sweets are home made by the family and friends, and the alcohol is also purchased by you at wholesale prices. Finally, as you know your friends well, you are familiar with their music taste. Therefore don’t save on the band. The wedding day is to be remembered for their life, it is like a cornerstone of their marriage. The wedding band will be a great asset, no disc jockey will substitute the live music. There are two other ways to make your friends’ wedding a memorable experience for everybody. One is creating a program of the whole ceremony and the wedding. It works very well in case of large numbers of the guests invited and if the quests come from different religions. It will look like an invitation, actually it may be designed as a part of the wedding invitation. You may include the names of the bridegroom and the bide, their parents name the names of best man and the maid of honor, the name of the officiant celebrating the ceremony whether it is a priest, a rabbi or a pastor. Then include various stages of the ceremony like the entrance rite, readings, the rite of marriage etc. Another interesting way to honor the guests making that day memorable for all is providing a small gift basket or a small gift like a miniature perfume ready for each person who has been invited. It makes a difference and projects a very good image of the newly weds. It all sounds simply, but we can decide to open our hearts and begin to care. We can decide to allow our hearts to become sensitive to the needs of others. Ask God to give you His heart to help you see the way He sees. Then make yourself available. You may find lots of excuses not to do what often comes your way as an excellent opportunity. The work, the family, the lack of time are the most common ones. There are ways to manage your time better and strong desire to help is the key. If you ask God to change your heart He will do that. Then keep close to Him so that He will lead your steps.
